Ultraviolet Radiation Sensor

These photovoltaic detectors are optimized for UV(Ultra Violet) region based on III-V GaN (Gallium Nitride)
epitaxial material responding to light only in the UV range. These detectors are packaged in electrically
isolated TO-46 housing with an integrating filtered window and other packages are available on customer¡¯s
request. UV radiation exposure, known to be the cause of skin cancer and other skin damage, is of increasing
concern. However, using available detectors to date, accurate measurements of UV dosages under solar or sun
lamp exposure have been, at best, difficult to make.
Our ACUV-2002T detector has been specially developed to solve this problem. The spectral response of this
schottky type detector is corresponds closely to the erythemal response spectrum in solar.
